Ok, tomorrows the day. Under the knife yet again.
Although I have the usual pre-operation jitters, I feel calmer this time around than last time. I guess it's because all I have to worry about is myself this time. Last time I was exausted by not only getting myself ready but getting my Mom ready to be on her own for a few days. That went smooth, she fell while I was in the operating room and her mind snapped. This time I know she is safe in the nursing facility and I don't have to worry about her.
I have planned ahead as far as I can and I am ready to get this over and home to my own bed to recover. They have me down for an overnight stay with another day if needed. It shouldn't be as bad this time. The left shoulder had the huge rotator cuff tear as well as the bone spurs, I don't think there is a rotator cuff tear this time. (Although the Doctor doesn't share my opinion.)
My surgery is schedualed for 2:45 Tuesday afternoon and the food cut off is midnight tonight. Guess who will be having dinner at 11:58????
