Since I am not blogging on this site anymore I thought I would leave this thought here to languish for a spell.

Since when is a sexual preference the bases for a social group in a moral society?

I am so sick of hearing how homosexuality is not abnormal, how it is not a deviant behavior. How gays have rights. Phooey!!!

1. This is a Judeo/Christian nation with the morals following the teaching of said religions. While God loves the individual, the act is immoral and completely unacceptable. Then again, so is adultery, murder and a list of other no-no's that decent people try to stay away from anyway, if that is unacceptable to you...TOUGH! Go to a country that isn't based on these philosophies.

2. It is not "natural", the anus is meant for the elimination of bodily waste, not to have a penis crammed into, male or female. The requirement of nature for the species is a male and a female. You can have a 1000 roosters but you will never get an egg. The male/female genitalia fit together in a way to facilitate reproduction and it feels pretty darn good too.

3. Homosexuality is a deviation. To accept otherwise gives validity to NAMBA, and sheep fuckers. You can argue that minor boys and sheep aren't able to make a personal choice in the matter and your right....but it is still a sexual deviation none the less and so is homosexuality. IT IS NOT A STRATA OF SOCIETY!! What goes on in your bedroom is your business and does not mean laws need to be changed to facilitate your sexual lifestyle. Marriage is the union of a man and woman, not two men, two women, a woman and a Doberman, or a man with 14 year old boy.

The morals of this nation are all but gone. Self-indulgence has taken the place community service. Personal gain has over-shadowed charitable works. Family values has gone down the tubes. Is it any wonder that America is becoming vilified all over the world? What once was a paragon of hope is now a testament to failure. We need to return to a time when we were a God fearing nation. When we knew the difference between right and wrong and tried to stay on the side of right, not wander off onto any path that "feels right". We understood God was God and didn't try to make Him into a kinder and more accepting Deity that would accept those who broke His laws because they think He should.

This is my opinion, if you don't like it TOUGH!! Climb back into your handbasket to Hell, I am going to try to walk the path of the righteous, without letting you try to ridicule and deride me for wanting to please my Lord and not my fellow man.

Well, it looks like I have lost at least 6 clients being off work for 2 months. If the economy was better and business stronger, 6 clients wouldn't be as devastating a financial blow. That is my car payment. I am glad I did the bankruptcy, having less debts is vital. I was hoping to be able to afford cable TV again this winter but it looks like that stays off the table, of course. I wish I could come up with a home business that wasn't spamming or required a risky start-up investment. I am just not sure how I will make 2 rents, the car, insurances, phones and food plus pay back the back-rent and money I owe my friends.

I filed a liability claim with the county but I can already see why people get lawyers for this kind of stuff, they denied the claim because they can't understand that parking a dumpster in the handicap parking and having no guard rail on the incline could be their fault. They also want a total on the money I want except I am still under treatment and the county sponsored insurance I have won't release the information on the amounts they paid on my bills. Frustrating.

I still am trying for 3 people a day and I hope to go back to 4 or 5 this next month, that would put me back at 4 days a week and make getting caught up on my energy at the end of the week easier. I still spend too much time on the computer dinking around with my SIMS2 game.

Well, another working week has passed. I did 3 days of 3 clients, 1 day with only 1 client and PT and 1 day of 2 clients and PT. I am tired today and a bit depressed at the work to be done around here. I have the laundry on and the pole ready to fish down the Xmas lights but I cannot get motivated to finish either chore. The house is in desperate need of cleaning and I just don't have thew get up and go to do it.

I hate living with the dust and clutter, it is not good for my mental outlook. I wish I had more energy.

Last week was my first week back to work part-time. I did 3 clients on Monday and Wednesday, 2 with Physical Therapy on Tuesday and Thursday and one each on Friday and Saturday. (Because of the weather it was 6 days instead of 5.) Today I am so tired and stiff I am wondering how I will cope with PT and the same schedule next week and the two weeks after that. The plan is to add one person per day in February, I have to get back to work full time. I have to catch up 1400 dollars in back rent.

I pulled in some of the Christmas lights and absolutely must vacuum the carpets. I sure need a housekeeper to come in and give a through cleaning. No money for that kind of luxury of course.

I guess the bad luck streak isn't done with me yet. I broke a crown last night. Merry freaking Christmas. Off to Walgreens at 11:30 at night on Christmas eve to get some filler to cover the open area. I did have to laugh at all the people buying that last minute gift.

Christmas dinner at "DH"s house got canceled, she isn't feeling well and her live-in grown son and his wife managed to trash the house she had spent last weekend cleaning. They are supposed to move out next weekend, good riddance! So I just put a meatloaf in the oven.

I went down to see my friend in the nursing facility for a couple of hours. It brightened his day and helped my mood.

I had liked him as a possible candidate since he put forth sound values and sense, but recently he stated he "believed that Jesus Christ is the son of God". Ok that is good except it is a white wash of the true Mormon belief system.
Mormon doctrine establishes God as once mortal who achieved his God status, he has a goddess wife and Jesus is the first born spirit child who became human for a while. Then again satan is also the god and goddess's child, as are everyone of us! With effort and following the doctrine we can become gods too!(incest with his "child" Mary?)

To quote Romney:

I am pretty dependable about getting a flu shot every year. I know I can't get the flu from it, I know I am not sensitive to the suspension fluid so I won't have a reaction. I know with chronic illness or disease, like my bad heart, flu can kill. So what took me so long to get it this year???

I usually am first in line in October to get my shot but I procrastinated it into November then the fall and broken arm took my mind off of it. The flu shot sign in front of Safeway jogged my memory yesterday so I decided to go down to public health today and get shot.

I was getting ready when "AS" called, for years we went together for our shots but not for the last few years, when I asked she admitted she had skipped it because of lack of funds this year so I said I would pay half if she would pay the other half. (Mine is covered on my insurance because I am high risk.) She grumbled a bit because of my lack of income but I reminded her that tides turn and when I have the extra money I buy, when she does...she can buy.
As we were getting ready to go I saw my little elderly neighbor "Minny" and asked if she had gotten hers, "no...no-one has taken me to do it and I want one", she said, so I told her to grab her purse and get in the Honda. Since it was turning into a flu shot mob I called the elderly man across the street to see if he had been shot, he said he was good, he had gotten his 3 weeks ago.

So we all have our shots and I had a pizza delivered, and I have used my budgeted money up for the week, but it was a good day and hopefully when I get back on the job I won't have to take any time off for the flu!

I also may have gotten someone to help me put up my Christmas lights!

I though 7 days was a bit soon for a post-op doctor visit and I was right, I still have to go back again to have the stitches out. Todays appointment turned out to be a "look/see" appointment with 4 X-rays and a new cast. There are 7 pins coming off the plate, 7 pieces/parts that had to be put back in place and pinned down. The scar is about 7 inches long and zig-zags from palm to forearm. It is ugly, I cried.

I drove my car yesterday! Ok, driving wasn't that big of a deal since I tend to steer with my left hand anyway. I found the greatest challenge to be putting on the seatbelt! Teeth ans swear words were involved.

I went to the bank to cash the check for 500.00 that "AS"s mother sent me. If I can pull it together I will go pay my car payment with that cash. I got a few groceries an burned off the food stamp card. I need to go to the big, cheaper price place but it is all self serve and I don't feel up to that yet. I got the car filled up so I have gas for the rest of the month.

I am still reeling from the card I got in the mail on Tuesday. It was an anonymous card, no signature, no return address. There was a bank envelope it it. There was a $1000.00 in that. $1000.00. Who would send me that much money? I called my landlady and told her, I said I would like to pay my rent for Nov. I don't know what Dec. will bring but at least I won't be as far behind. $1000.00, isn't that amazing?

I am home, all plated and pinned.

I have to say this was one of my better hospital stays, I got a private room with fairly competent care. I had one nurse that was seventy if she was a day. She was sweet but stubborn and almost pulled my CPAP machine onto the floor because she wouldn't listen to me about unplugging it before moving the table. Then she left everything where it was resulting in a water bath from a almost empty pitcher she didn't bother removing. The guys were great, coming in quietly in the night to check on me and of course I had to have the 3 am blood draw for labs.

Now I have the long road to healing to go down. I have the hope of returning to work on the first.

I am exausted, this cast doesn't fit and my fingers are clumped together and it rides on the broken bone. I am so depressed. I hope things get easier after the surgery. I am at the end of my rope and ready to tie the last bit around my neck.

I have pain meds. My back isn't hurting. I got them when I broke my arm Friday morning.

The city upgraded over 100 computers, they were selling the old ones for $10.00. Since I wanted to build a computer for a friend as a Christmas gift I got my butt in line at 6:30 in the morning and got 2 for me and 2 for my personal geek, Georgie. I got an office chair for 2 dollars.

Someone was helping me to lode the chair into the back seat when I took a step backwards to get out of the way. Yeah, I got out of the way...I tripped over the curb and rolled backward down a small hill. I think I rolled over my arm. The top of one of the arm bones is broken along with a wrist bone and possibly the elbow.

I was sent from the emergency room to my orthopedist, he will try to fit me into the surgery schedules on Wednesday but it might be Friday. This cast is not fit that well, waiting a week will be a drag.

I feel like this wouldn't have happened if the county hadn't parked a massive dumpster in the other 3 handicap parking spots leaving more room in the remaining one to maneuver in, but then again...shit happens.

Now, comes the money scramble, Housing assistance has a 1-3 year waiting list so there is no help there, I don't qualify for state disability, I hope the county has a program to help with other stuff, not just food stamps.

Up until the car accident I had a months emergency money. Now I have 40 bucks to my name. This isn't going to go well.

On a lighter note, I had been thinking about cutting my shoulder length hair off for the last month or so, on Saturday "DH' came over and did it. Man, the timing was good for that. It is so much easier to deal with and a little gel and it looks kinda spiky and cute.

Pain meds are wearing off so it is off to pop a pill and nap for a couple more hours, pardon grammar or spelling errors, this left hand hunt and peck makes me lazy.

Lets give a big hand to our winners Ellen Degenerate and Portia De Dummy!! Apparently these two think that they can adopt a dog, sign an agreement stating the terms including returning the dog to the place of adoption if they can't keep it(Portia), decide it is "not a convenient time to have a dog" what with their "careers and new house". Then they give the dog away like a piece of unwanted patio furniture, and when the dog is taken back under the terms of the contract from a poor little girl who shouldn't have been put in the middle of this, they blackmail the owner of the placement firm with negative publicity if the dog isn't returned to the girl! After an Oscar worthy performance on TV, raking in that threatened "negative publicity", the poor owner of the placement firm is besieged by death threats! All the woman is trying to do is find animals homes! She probably would have placed the dog with the child if this would have been done correctly and the terms of the contract obeyed.

Now Hollyweird, oblivious of the truth, is rallying behind the two manipulators and the drama continues. JUST SHUT UP ALREADY! YOU SIGNED A CONTRACT. Yes, they apply to SPECIAL people like you!

Man, I need it for The Sims 2. One of my clients gave me a bunch of the expansion packs since she wasn't using them anymore. Now it is more additive than ever.

It is the designing and furnishing the houses I like, I create a sim for the house, play it a bit and get bored and start on another house.

They are getting more elaborate as I learn to use the tools, the latest has 3 levels, (I am going to create an apartment, later, for a grown sibling or child in the top floor ) bay windows and a pool and hot tub covered by a marble and translucent tile roof. It is worth 170,000.00 now without furniture.

I have been up to after 2 am playing every night for the last week. I shut it down tonight at 11 and am rolling off to bed. I have to get my life back!

On another note.

My ex-boyfriend/fiancee/friend has become a part of my life again.
I met up with his parents in the grocery store a month ago and they updated me. All the smoking and drinking caught up with him and he had a stroke. He has MS so he is truly incapacitated. Since they are elderly and his sister useless as tits on a boar, he is in a nursing home. I have been down (20 miles) to see him 3 times so far. His family has done nothing with his accommodations or his amusement. I took him a CD player and some CDs of music he likes and will put some things on the walls. Something to look at besides the furniture or his roommate.

Ok, so it's like this, I stay up late on Saturday nights. Like, 3 in the morning late, which explains my lack of church attendance, so I get up at oh...11am on Sunday.

I was meandering along, bite to eat...scoop the letterboxes...then into a nice hot shower. I step out of the shower and at that moment a voice rings out, "FIRE...WARNING, FIRE!!! To be followed by hair raising piercing beeps. OMG! My house is one fire! I frantically search for my glasses and struggle into a long tank dress so I don't have to run out into the street nakid. I rush out to find the fire and grab the cats... nothing, no smoke...nothing. Then the beeping changes and the voice screams, WARNING, CARBON MONOXID DETECTED, WARNING!!! Ok, I figured this out now, the m@therfu@king thing has malfunctioned!

I go to the utility room and get the ladder, all the while this thing is beeping and shrieking, the cats are scared to death and in hiding. (Which will be great if there is a real fire.) I set up the ladder, climb up and attempt to get the fucking thing open, only to find...I can't.

I twist, I turn, I pry. I installed the thing! I changed the batteries! I should be able to get it open! No way. By now my head is throbbing from the noise and tension. I reach my boiling point and rip the son of a bitch off the ceiling!! (nice holes)

Now I am off the ladder with the accursed thing in my hands and I still can't get it open to take out the batteries and reset it. Ok....I am past the point of no return. I take it to the utility room and grab the hammer. Yup, it is in 18 pieces.

I then proceed to fire off a rude and profanity laced letter to the Kidde Co. telling them to take a like unit and cram it up the fanny of the designer. I don't expect a reply.

I bought a replacement at K Mart, it is a First Alert and you can silence it with your TV remote and the batteries are in a drawer that slides out easily. Now I have to patch the holes and get it mounted.

I found this scrapbook image while looking at web pages, (might have been at TNChicks!) and added Pandi's photos. It looks like a paper scrapbook page, can be printed out on paper and added to a scrapbook. Someone is quite clever and talented to produce such lovely things. My Pandi looks quite handsome there. My friend "AS" and I toodled down to a local craft faire this weekend, proceeds from it were going to build a park/playground for the local kids.
I wish I had more photos but my rechargeable batteries that I charged up the night before died on photo number 5. Such a disappointment since there was a lot of nice thing there.

Battle of wills...

What your looking at here is two cats in a battle of wills. As kittens the cuddled up together all the time. When the third cat, Punkin, came in and upset the balance these two responded by becoming at odds with each other. No more cuddling. This window hammock, on the other hand, is the favorite spot in the house. One of the two was here first, the other made themselves to home and the first ain't budging.

Man, what a headache. Ten days and $320.00 later the tub is fixed. There were issues with an uneven wall to slow us down, the new surround was found to have a crack half way through the install, the spigot got broken and had to be replaced. I still need to touch up the paint but I can shower in it on Thursday morning!

Life just sucks sometimes.

Back in 2006my bathroom got torn apart and remodeled. The tub had a hole in it and the caulking had been leaking and there was a mold issue and dry rot issues...

Guess what...

It's baaaack!

Yup, I was cleaning around the outside edge of the tub next to the wall and a piece of paint flaked off and it was black underneath. Mold. With permission from the property manager, I called "M" (formerly my neighbor behind) to look at it. He tracked down a water leak from the shower pipe and caulking breaks. The caulking problem is the half-assed shitty job of the property managers pet employee, he is totally incompetent. That is why she is letting me take charge of this, she knows I won't work with him again.

So, once again I am without a shower. I have "M" coming back to work on the tear out and the PM is supposed to get a plumber to do the pipe leak.

Oh yeah, my desktop computer is having meltdown and my laptops wireless won't connect. The lady who caused the car wreak won't contact her adjuster so it may be another month before anything gets settled. My life sort of sucks...

You know how you have this dream...and when the alarm wakes you, you lay there thinking...WTF???

Ok, so in my dream I am on a ladder going up into the attic of the main house on the Ponderosa...yeah, THAT Ponderosa, the Bonanza one.
I have this feeling that I am one of the 3 sons wife. There is a man on the ladder with me, a stranger, on the opposite side of the ladder, he is talking trash about Adam Cartwright...who is the one I am married to apparently. I am getting ready to tell him off as he continues past me on the ladder into the attic.
It seems that one of the dormers has come loose on the house and all the Cartwright men are up there fixing it, Adam tells me it will take days since they have to strip off all the siding...yes, they put up siding in the attic on the Ponderosa.

My dream then breaks to the old doctors office, while the men fix the house I am assisting him to save a patents life. My part is to remove this...thing....part...something, from the mold and peel the rubber cover off it,
I do so...ok, it is a phallus. The doctor looks at it and says it won't work, there needs to be a depression in the end to place the medicine in and it is too large.

The alarm went off at that point. I had rice and applesauce that eveing before bed...I swear! No booze, no drugs, no pizza or nuthing! I admit as a teenager I had a crush on Adam Cartwright but I haven't watched the show in 20 years!

The subject for this weeks Photo Hunt is Creative.

My back is out so I don't feel very creative right now. I have paintings I have done, things I have knitted, jewelery I have made but nothing strikes me as anything I want to photograph and post. So instead you get one of my favorite "Artsy Fartsy" shots from the camera and photo editor. I took this a year ago.

She may be the smallest of the two litters of mini Dachshunds but she is the bold one. She invariably chooses the largest pup in the pen to jump on and wrestle to the ground.

She has her mothers coloring, she's Black and Tan, Silver Dapple. She has her mothers blue eye/ brown eye combo too. She will be about half the size of her litter mates, probably about 5 pounds as an adult.

Luna Jr. is sitting in the driveway. A 2007 Honda CR-V EX in Whistler Silver Metallic. (last year it was called Alabaster Sliver) It was so new it was still wrapped in plastic inside and out. I have a grand total of 11 miles on it after running errands in it tonight. The dealer and bank worked together to get me a 9.4 finance rate, (I expected around 12) and sold it 200.00 over invoice without dealer prep.
I upped to the full 7 year warranty so all I have to pay for is oil changes, brake jobs and tires. Doesn't cover body damage but if I need a car repair, chances are it is covered...with no deductible. Cars are the only thing I buy extended warranties on.

My payment is 22.00 a month more than I was paying. I can do that.

They detailed it out for me...and of course it is raining now. Oh well...I do love the smell of the rain on a summer evening so I guess I will wash the car tomorrow or the next day.

Now if I can ever get that frickin police report I can get this finished off and get on with my life.

Since our local police department is slower than molasses in January about getting the accident report out, I will have to proceed without the deductible and P&S money.

After checking online and in the paper I find that low mileage, excellent condition 2006 Honda CR-Vs, are just as expensive as a 2007! So I guess I will be new car shopping. I still like the style and such of the 2006 but I am loathed to buy someones troubles. I have been stung by used cars in "perfect" condition in the past.

I will stop in tomorrow after work to feel out the local dealer, but the loaner car must be returned by the 24th so the 23rd is D-day at the latest.

In both body and spirit.

The bruises are fading and the shoulder doesn't require a pain patch all day. The skin has shed over the burn and it still hurts but to a lesser extent.

The pay-out on the car will leave me with about $10,000.00 down on the next car and the bank is saying they will probably finance the rest even though my credit sucks just because I have a great track record with them. I hope they stick to that.

I returned my friends car to her since her daughter in law needed it for a class out of town and AAA is paying for a rental. I am supposed to get something similar to what I was driving...I got a mini-van. Close but no cigar. Gas hog that it is, at least I feel more secure driving it over the Cavalier I borrowed.

This time when I buy I will get the "Gap" insurance so I don't have to go through this worry again if there is an accident. (God Forbid!)

I found out on Tuesday that I won't be able to work for a week, seems the trauma from the seat belt contusion has caused the deltoid muscle to not fire correctly leaving me with burning pain with use.

Today I was sitting around shooting the breeze at work when I mentioned that more of the skin had bulled away on the burn and it was getting "weepy" and more painful. Suddenly I had 4 "mothers" nagging me to have a doctor look at it. After 45 minutes of this I capitulated and called 4 walking clinics till I found on that would bill AAA.

Yup, it is a second degree burn and there is some minor signs of infection (or leftover neosporin imitating pus). Yeah, its gonna leave a scar. A script for Keflex and antibiotic cream later I walked out with a goodie bag of bandages and tape. Ok, NOW I definitely want some pain and suffering money.

It's totaled.

I must admit that I hurt less than I thought I would today. A quick trip to the Chiropractor and some more TLC on the burn on my hand and I was able to go and pull all my belongings out of the car.
The guy at AAA said from the damage I described that the computer says it's totaled, they will take it down to an appraisal center for the final word.
I know I have enough equity that what AAA gives me will pay it off and hopefully leave me with the 8000.00 I put into the Honda in the first place. The only thing that worries me is the interest rate and what company I will be dealing with. When I get the final word I will go to the bank I financed this car through and see what(if anything) they can do.

Don't get me wrong. I am covered in bruises, my hand is burned from the airbag deployment,
the bitch who entered the intersection claims she had the green but the witnesses said she is wrong. I am grateful to God, I really am. I just wish my wonderful Honda I named Luna survived as well as I did. Her front end is a smashed up and hanging by a tread.

I am afraid I will get screwed by this, even if the car is totaled at blue book there is no way I will get the new car refinanced at the low rate I got before I began the bankruptcy shit. Unless they fix her up I am gonna get hosed.

My Mother always wore wigs, I don't remember a time when she didn't. When she passed away I gave most of her wigs to the American Cancer Society, I kept this fuzzy one for a friend who needed it for a costume party. I slipped it into her locker at work and added the eyeballs and teeth. She nearly wet her pants, first from the shock...then from the laughter.

That's what I call them, the neighbors that moved in next door 2 months ago. The adults (?) scream at each other, they scream at the kids (3), the kids scream at the adults, the kids scream at each other. The brats, who the father said were "going through a destructive phase" when they ruined a section of my reed fence, have torn huge holes in the window screens in the back bedroom. I saw the boy (who throws screaming fits like a two year old) trying to climb out of the window (through the hole in the screen) and up onto the roof this morning.

The house they live in is a rental, by the way, and the property manager is a total idiot. I have dealt with her before.

The screaming sometimes starts at 6:30 in the morning, there is no getting away from it as they never close their windows. I know at least 4 other neighbors are sick of them and one hit the boiling point today. The kids behind me called the cops.

After the officer spoke to them (very briefly) there has been peace and quiet for the rest of the day. Wonder how long it will last?
The trailer trash probably think it was me who called the cops since I warned the father a month ago that this was a quiet neighborhood full of older adults and the screaming would not be welcomed.

Some of my friends thought I was exaggerating about them being trash until the yard sale and they were here for the show. They tend to refer to them as my "White Trash Neighbors". Yup.

I know these are just an old pair of thongs...but for me these are my friendship shoes.

I have large feet, (thanks Dad) I can't get those cute pink and turquoise thongs and sandals with the beads and sequins, they don't come in my size. My friend "D" can, she has normal feet. She is also a good friend.

For my birthday 2 years ago she bought these nice Nike men's thongs and hand beaded them, she used fishing line for durability and about 300 beads...in the evening...after work.

These are my friendship shoes, I am gonna wear them until they crumble into dust.

On of our most delightful customers came in today. I had been a bit worried about the next time I saw her.

About 3 weeks ago her fiancee died at work. He was a police detective, he was not feeling well when he left for work that day, "a bit of indigestion", nothing to worry about. He had just had a physical 3 weeks before. He had a massive heart attack and died there at the station. He was in his mid-fifties.

They had both gotten out of bad marriages less than a year ago. "Laura" has finally rid herself of her verbally abusive husband and was venturing out on her own for the first time. They met through mutual friends and fell for each other immediately. Within 6 months they were engaged to be married. Then...Boom.

Laura was her usual smiling, gracious self. She accepted our hugs and thanked us for the card. She said once the shock had worn off she realized how blessed she had been to know this man and to learn that there are men like him out there, they are not all like her ex-husband. Knowing him made her stronger and more confidant. He gave her these things and his love in the short time he was in her life and she was grateful. Funny how she comforted us when were prepared to comfort her.

I love that "Next Blog" button at the top of the page. You get to explore the world and the people in it one click at a time. I am not, however, stupid enough to think that I have a grasp of life in another country simply from a few blogs or special interest stories in the media that are intended to shape our thinking on a subject.

Unfortunately there are quite a few people stupid enough to do just that. I have come upon 3 blogs in a row with disparagingly remarks about the United States made by people who (after reading through the archives) I can find no reference to ever having been to the United States.

Why is it that someone talks to a few people or watches the news (apparently unaware that different affiliations slant the reporting to suit their political viewpoint) and thinks they are enough of an authority to comment about this country and it's people?? I have never been to Japan, I have heard enough about the Japanese people being sly, egotistical, untrustworthy, narrow minded and socially backward from others to form a belittling attitude toward them...but I haven't because I have never been there myself to form any opinion on Japan or it's people. Maybe someday I will go there...I'll let you know what I find. But for now I take each Japanese person I meet at face value.

I wish others would do the same. If you haven't spent time there, if you haven't spent time with a wide assortment if it's inhabitants, you don't know a place. So shut your pie-hole and keep your mind open.

Road Trip

After a hellacious migraine on Wednesday, the result of hitting the peak of my stress load and beginning the decent to normalcy as well as PMS, "AS" and I decided on Friday night a road trip was in order. Just a quick day trip to Ashland (theater tickets are 57.00 WTF?) and some goofing around.

Mt. Shasta was beautiful with the soft summer clouds bumping into it as they pass by.

There are a couple of metal sculptures along I5 this is the cow, and below is the dragon.

Ashland business owners are very cool about their pets coming to work with them, I was in no less than 5 business where there was a dog or cat hanging out. This sleepy soul was napping in one of the window displays in the shoe store window.

We did a brief stop in Jacksonville, "AS" wandered a bit more than I, there had been a street fair that day and they were just breaking it down so the streets were still blocked off and my knee was walked out. I did hit a couple of my favorite stores, I will give you a hint...I didn't want info.

But alas, I didn't find anything that made my heart go pitter-pat. Which was good for the budget.

I spent Sunday recovering from all that walking so I guess I had better get my fanny in gear and get something constructive done today... or there is that new J.D. Robb book laying on the table.

Day one of the yard sale is over and I survived. There turned out to be 4 of us there; "AS", who agreed that just pooling out belongings and splitting the cash 50/50 was the least stressful thing to do, "H" who lives behind me, she brought the baby who enjoyed being passed around for 5 hours, and one of my other friends "GB", who's yard sale last week netted her 90% guys so she brought all of her fru-fru stuff over to sell this weekend.

Aside from the psycho-bitch who lives in back of her father-in-law across the street screaming about us not blocking her driveway, (we weren't) it was a fairly successful day, "AS" an I are up $275.00. I wish the clothes sold better. I have a complete 35 gal. hex aquarium and stand with everything except gravel, chemicals and fish and at $100.00 it didn't sell. I have a standing bid of $50.00 if it doesn't sell from a co-worker, I really hoped for more.

As for being crazy (or stupid) for schedualing a yard sale-

O.J. Simpson won't take legal action against a Louisville restaurateur who booted from a steakhouse on the eve of the Kentucky Derby after all, Simpson's attorney said Saturday.

Simpson and about a dozen guests were asked to leave Jeff Ruby's Steakhouse on May 4 by owner Jeff Ruby, who has said he asked Simpson to leave because "he continues to torment the family whose lives he's already ruined 15 years ago."

Simpson, a Heisman Trophy winner and NFL star, was acquitted in 1995 of killing his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and Ron Goldman, but was found liable in a civil trial that followed.

Simpson's lawyer, Yale Galanter, said Ruby is using the episode for publicity.

"If we had our druthers, this would have died that night and been over," Galanter said from his Florida office. "We are not pushing it."

Last week, Galanter had said his client's ejection was about race, and that he intended to pursue the matter and might go after the restaurant's liquor license.

"He screwed with the wrong guy, he really did," Galanter said of Ruby a few days ago.

I sit and stare at the black new post page hoping to come up with something interesting, amusing or pithy to put down and not a damn thing comes to mind.

I go to work and do a few little side trips as life needs.

One of my little side trips today was to a large nursery out by the airport. I usually have my herb garden in by this time but the places I get plants close to me have been giving me the same song and dance since the first of April; "Oh, we had lots of herbs last week, if you come back next Thursday we should have more."

I finally looked a the garden manager at Orchard Supply and said, "that is the third time you have told me that. Either your lying through your teeth or your too incompetent at you job to realize when you sell out of something, buy more next time!"
I left her sputtering excuses.

I have been trying to limit my trips to save on gas but this nursery I went to wound up having the two herbs I wanted plus a couple more. So I guess the trip out to the airport (the nursery is just down the road) was worth the gas mileage.

French Tarragon was one of the two herbs. It is only grown from root stock or cuttings, not from seed like Russian Tarragon and the flavor is far superior. Greek Oregano is the other I was seeking, Italian Oregano is actually wild Marjoram and on a scale of 1 to 10, it's flavor and intensity is a 4 while the Greek (true) Oregano is a 10.

I also grow some Sweet Basil and Dill in the garden, all of which I use fresh into the fall while harvesting (always in the morning) and drying them for the winter and spring until the planting is going on. This year I will do my own root stock cuttings and grow it in the house in the winter so I can be sure of having the Tarragon next spring with out hunting it down.

Business is still slow but at least there will be a band-aid for a while. The tax refunds are coming in for the bankruptcy and I have the money for the dent in my car to stock up on some much needed product at work. Canceled the yearly trip to the coast, but even in disappointment there is a certain amount of relief that I don't have to come up with the money for it. Both "AS' and I are just to broke to spend on a mini-vacation.

She and I had lunch today and chatted about our up coming garage sale, and other topic updates when she confided that her ageing cat is losing weight and having some digestive issues, I asked if she had gone to the vet about it but she said she was in a state of denial. I hate that, at least you can have the cat examined even if you can't afford tests.

Yeah, I am still here. I can't work up the enthusim to do much these days. The bancruptcy paper work is a quarter filled out and still on the desk under this computer. My main computer is still giving me troubles and I am ready to dig up some cash (ebay) and overhaul it. I like this laptop but for downloading, games and photo editing I like the power and the large LCD of the desktop.

It is raining and has been for a couple of weeks with a day of sun here and there and the gloom is getting to my depression big time. Even the cats feel it.
I know that sounds crazy but I gave them fresh mousies out of the catnip jar and only one batted hers around a couple of times, the others ignored them! They would rather lay on the heated throw and nap.

The kids are gone to the Bay Area for a few days, "M"s mother passed away a couple of days ago, I helped him make arraingements as I still had phone numbers and stuff left from Mom. The baby is growing like a weed, he is up to almost 15 pounds.

For my final offering, I was cooking breakfast last Sunday...my sausage took on a life of its own.

Easter came and went and I spent the day cleaning off the top of my desk so I could spread out and start the bankruptcy paperwork. Easter evening was spent at the sleep clinic doing a new sleep test. This morning I told the tech I felt more clearheaded, the tech said that they had a couple of suggestions for the doctor. I guess that means that my settings have changed or something new has popped up. Maybe that explains my fatigue. I see the cardiologist on Friday, she will want to up the Corig dosage, I don't know if it is working at this dose' so more might not be the answer.

I was sick for that Workers Comp doctor appointment two weeks ago so it is scheduled for tomorrow. I hate that drive, over two hours of dull both ways.

It is getting to be time to work in the garden, I have a $25.00 gift certificate to a local nursery burning a hole in my pocket. I want to wait till the herbs are in, I want a French Tarragon and it doesn't come out till after April 15.

Taxes and Tarragon.
Normally the word taxes would make me cringe since I am self employed but this year, for the first time in 17 years...I GET MONEY BACK!! I paid out for my Moms death benefit that I used on the car and now I get a refund. Guess what is going to pay the bankruptcy charges? It is somewhat stupid that someone who is so far in debt that they cannot dig out has to come up with 300 to 500 dollars for bankruptcy. I hate the thought of doing this but I need a fresh start, business is so slow and my health is so rotten that it will take a 10 ton burden off my back.

Scrape me off the floor please. I am to tired to care.

The office clean up is 90% done and I am pleases. The house got vacuumed and dusted this weekend and the paperwork is off the table and back in the file cabinet. The laundry however is sitting in the washer still.

The idiots at the insurance company are determined to throw good money after bad and are sending me to a qualified chiropractor in Sacramento. Whatever....
I get a nice fat check for expenses which means I can get some new clothes. There is your Workers Comp contributions at work. To all you business owners who pay out the ass for WC...thanks for the new shirts!

My big recliner chair in the living room has been broken for over a month. They finally came to get it today and fix it. They brought it back in 3 hours! Great! Oops...it still won't open. Back out the door it goes. My back and neck are so hating the sofa.

The doldrums have set in. Now that the court appearance is behind me, the taxes are done and insurance crap taken care of there is not much happening.

One thing that transpired this week is on the first, one of my co-workers walked in and asked if I knew my Honda had a dent in it? I had to confirm that it was the first of March, not April Fools Day. I checked, sure enough there is a rub mark on the rear passenger side bumper and the corner of the metal fender is wrinkled. Son of a bitch! The car is only 8 month old! I called AAA, I have a $250.00 deductible for collision, they call it collision even though I wasn't driving...it was probably in a parking lot. Like I need another lump of money going out.

When your a layperson in a courtroom setting it can be a little overwhelming. Your trying to keep up with the jargon and the labor codes being thrown around without looking totally stupid but grasping only every two or three statements.

Their position- since everything has been paid and since the QME (first doctor) opinion is irrelevant since I never should have been granted a Qualified Medical Examiner. The AME (second doctor) states he is not qualified to make judgments about chiropractic care since he is a Agreed Medical Examiner in neurology so the injured worker (me) needs to see a qualified chiropractor to render an opinion if chiropractic care is appropriate. Besides, the QME is under investigation for criminal activity and his opinion is questionable.

My opinion- the bills have been paid since I filed for this court appearance and they keep denying recommended treatment. The QME is appropriate under labor codes and the AME agrees with the QME and AME has no recommendations on a qualified chiropractor to send me to and besides, the QME is a qualified chiropractor. All I want is the reasonable care level recommended by the QME and the AME. I also reminded the attorney that in this country a person is innocent until proven guilty and the criminal activity the QME is accused of is following bad tax advice which has no bearing on his medical qualifications.

The judge agreed with me.

The attorney for the insurance company was a bit peeved.

I have a court date on Tuesday morning for my Expedited Hearing before the Workers Compensation judge.

In a nut shell; I fought for almost 2 years to get my lower back injury settled, I won self procured future medical coverage for life. In the last 20 years I have used primarily chiropractic treatment to be a productive, tax paying person with a little loss to quality of life. I have paid some things out of pocket, (new mattress, ice packs, brace, pillows) and I have used to a minimum such items as massage therapy, physical therapy and acupunctures. I have pain and some nerve damage but since surgery was never a good option and at this point I probably wouldn't survive it, treating with chiropractic adjustments is a sound choice.

Well, at least to most intelligent people. Not the insurance company, they would rather spend about 4 years worth of treatment to fight my choice of using a chiropractor. We are talking 2 doctors visits and 2 reports, a nerve induction test, a MRI, another report from the same doctor (the insurance company sent him another 5 inches of reports to look at hoping he would change his opinion) travel reimbursement, and their attorneys fees. The are also hoping to send me to another doctor in the hope of finding one that doesn't say, "She doing fine on chiropractic, let her continue").

Oh yeah...the office is almost cleaned. Just the area around my desk and the file cabinet to do.
